After all the summary is supposed to be a conversation and we don’t talk in bullet points, but if I do want to break up text I will use them. It is rare that I use bullet points for the profiles I write. Again consider carefully how they are adding or taking away from your message. Symbols are great for adding in bullet points or drawing attention to certain parts. I prefer the individual break line ‘ | ‘ for splitting items on my profile. I find them a little over the top and unnecessary. Using them in your headline can add colour and character. Remember though, this is your professional reputation and you don’t want to overdo it.
